Fun In South Florida!

Born and raised in South Florida, I have had my fare share day trips and weekend adventures all over the state. Florida is a top tourist destination mainly because of the warm weather year round, miles of beaches and of course DISNEY WORLD!

Here are some of my favorite spots in South Florida that everyone, residents and tourists alike, need to check out!

1. Wynwood: Check out some local breweries and take pictures at the famous Wynwood Walls. The wall murals change periodically so this is definitely a spot you can check out numerous times and get a different experience each time you go!

2. Knaus Berry Farms: Go strawberry picking and check out there famous Cinnamon Rolls! South Florida locals drive over an hour to get these Cinnamon Rolls and other treats from the bakery

3. Catch a game: While in Miami-Dade County, its only appropriate to see one of the South Florida's sports teams play! Miami is home to the Miami Dolphins, Miami Marlins and Miami Heat. Whats better than tailgating in 90 degree heat in December, or catching a baseball game from a pool inside the stadium. Sounds like Florida to me!

4.South Beach: People from all over the world head to Miami Beach for some fun in the sun. South Beach has wonderful beached great for morning strolls, enjoying the day in the sun or even participating in water sports. South Beach is also home to luxury residences, 5-star hotels, fine dining as well as numerous bars and nightclubs.

5. Take a trip to the Florida Keys: If you enjoy snorkeling, jet-skiing, parasailing or even just a casual boat ride, the Florida Keys is the place to be. With numerous "keys" as you drive south from Miami, there are plenty of spots to stop for fun water-sports or to just enjoy a nice lunch on the water. If you are looking for a longer stay, definitely head all the south to Key West and enjoy Duval Street filled with bars and restaurants and take a picture at the Southern Most Point in the Continental U.S.A.

        6. Blowing Rocks Preserve: Head to Northern Palm Beach County to explore a stretch of rocky shoreline along Jupiter island. Limestone rock formations meet the sand and sea and give us a great place to climb up onto some rocks, get soaked by water crashing against the formation. Did I mention you can get some awesome pictures and video? A perfect spot for an engagement shoot, family photos, or if you're just looking to enhance your photography collection.

7. Jupiter Lighthouse and Inlet: While up north in Jupiter, check out the Jupiter Lighthouse. While there you can explore the museum, take a walk on the hiking trail and even climb to the top of the lighthouse for great views of the city and Inlet.

8. Hard Rock Hollywood Guitar Hotel: October 2019, the South Florida skyline was changed forever. The new Guitar hotel was build and brought a Vegas-style hotel and casino to Broward County. Just south of Fort Lauderdale, this new hotel has everything you need to enjoy a few days in the Florida sun. From a state of the art theatre for concerts and shows, multiple pools and water activities like canoes and paddle boards, day and night clubs for those looking for that real Vegas experience, a casino and numerous shops and restaurants, this hotel has it all! Even locals are taking a "stay-cation" at the Hard Rock to enjoy all the new amenities and of course get some great pics for the 'gram!

9. Lion Country Safari: A unique zoo experience in Palm Beach County. This drive-through safari will allow you see tons of animals as they approach you while you sit in your car. There is a also a walk-through amusement park with rides and attractions as well as in person experiences with the animals.

10. Everglades National Park: At the southern tip of Florida you will find Everglades National Park. See hundreds of animal species including some endangered species that call Florida home. You can hike or bike through the park and even pitch a tent and spend the night under the stars with the wildlife. A top attraction that everyone must do is an Airboat Ride thorough the swamps of the Everglades.
